The purpose of this assignment is to prepare families for unexpected earthquakes. The government highly recommends for individuals and their families to have a box full of necessities along with a first aid kit. As shown above, most first aid kits should include water gallons, flashlights, and even pain relief pills; or if any family member takes daily prescriptions.
There should be three gallons for each person a total of depending how many members live in a household. The flashlights are included just in case there happens to be an electricity shortage during or after the earthquake. My video also shows a separate black bag that holds all the medical remedies and first aid kit. My kit includes band-aids, alcohol wipes, both Advil and Tylenol, gauze tape.
My box also holds a reasonable size bottle of alcohol and cotton balls. These items are included in case of an drastic accident we are able to disinfect the cut/wound and prevent it from growing an infection. The first aid kit should prepare for us any natural disaster heading our way.
The government also asked for families to make a family plan together. My family and I decided to build the kit that is shown above. We discussed what we would do in case of an emergency. Our plan would be to place the first aid kit box by the edge of the door where it will easily be able to be located and quickly be grabbed. This activity was an effective and good way to plan before hand any real-life situations that could put our lives at stake.
